Young and Old"Old" refers to the building on the left, which you may not have noticed. For a month or so, when I exited the subway and turned right to walk to work, I was faced with this billboard. The challenge in photographing the scene was the bright building and sky behind the model. Meter on her and the sky is blown out; meter on the sky and she's a silhouette. I finally chose an angle that excluded the sky but you can still see the lightness of the building behind and the sunlight coming through a metal framework and casting a veil on her. |
