Lotus Pond

One of the things I like about this picture is that it captures three life stages of the lotus, with a mature lotus in the foreground, a seed cone that's lost its leaves and turned green just behind it, and the shadow of a drying cone tipped over and dropping its seeds in the upper-right-hand corner.
