Golden Dragonfly

Almost looks like polished brass.
     I've spoken of the extremely shallow depth of field of the +15 diopters macro lenses and this is a good example. I'm shooting straight on top of him and the choice is simply what you want in focus. Obviously, you can't have both his head and his wings, and I found the connecting structures of his back the most interesting. With a tripod, you could increase your depth of field somewhat... but then you'd need a dead dragonfly because that's the only kind that would sit still for that sort of construction going on around him.
