VinodhaI hadn't seen Vinodha in several years when she came to visit us in Hong Kong. I remembered her as a great lady, but I'd forgotten some of the details. Most astonishing is her memory -- while I have trouble recalling the year that something happened in my own life, she can tell you the exact dates of events in other people's lives. Her knowledge of places she's visited is encyclopedic and her sense of humor and mastery of languages make her a wonderful storyteller. On top of all this, she's a great cook. I could go on but I smell something new coming from the kitchen.
If Vinodha's not smiling here, it's because she'd just gotten off the plane and dragged to the wilds of Sai Kung for dinner before I surprised her with my 420EX flash. This is why I don't get invited out more often.
