RanaldIt helps to catch your subject in his own environment and then do your best to make him comfortable. In this case, Ranald had already made himself comfortable with a half-pint of Guinness. The fact that he is naturally a good sport helped tremendously. The ethereal underworld glow is not the devil come to take him away, but a lighted glass panel beneath the bar.
